Four Seasons Activity Programme for Schools
The Great Out-tours bring the wonders of the countryside to the doorstep of primary school children. Via an exciting & curriculum supporting ‘four seasons’ outdoor learning programme, we deliver after school clubs & curriculum supporting in-school workshops (embracing Reception through to Year 6 learning profiles). We pride ourselves in creating unforgettable practical experiences of nature in action, tracking & heralding the key flows of our four seasons. We use the school grounds/surrounds as the teaching ‘stage’ & work closely with the school staff to satisfy key curriculum learning objectives in the subject areas of: science, geography, art & design, music & design & technology.
The benefits of our school provision to family unity!
John Brooksbank (Founder) quotes “We are finding that as part of a global lifestyle trend, children are becoming introduced to/accessing technology at younger and younger primary ages, in both home & school environs. We are gaining a groundswell of parent/carer feedback & support from typical households, ‘crying out’ for their children to be reconnected/earthed with the outdoors; good ole ‘sticks and stones’ exploring / discovering & learning! This is the very essence of our schools offering!
Through our diverse, illuminating and active outdoor based ‘Four Seasons Activity Programme’ for schools, we are fulfilling the aforementioned need in droves and our club pupil parents/carers very much value our practice at primary schools. This global ‘tech rich lifestyle’ trend shows no sign of abating, so we feel The Great Out-tours product is a proposal worth serious consideration.
This is such an inventive and socially positive club; no wonder that spaces are limited. The Great Out-tours after school club experience, is amazing on many different levels, from fun environmental education, wild wood crafting & creativity through to team focused / self-esteem enhancing nature hunts & games. The club surpasses anything my children have partaken in on an after school club level and removes them from their technology! Why not try a Great Out-tours club for your children, especially if you are concerned over the ‘magnetic draw’ technology has when your child(ren) arrive home from school!”Simon

Just wanted to say thank you for the lovely Mother’s day present that the children made last week.
My son was so happy and proud of what he made when he presented it to me on Sunday, he was beaming. It has taken pride of place in our hall way for everyone to see when they come into the house.
Your ideas and enthusiasm shows though to the children, I just wanted to say a personal thank you.
Keep up the great work."
My son has been desperate to do The Great Out-tours for over a year but was a bit teary as it was his first time at an after school club. He had a wonderful time and said he was looked after by Vetty and is looking forward to next week.
Thank you all for your time and giving the kids the opportunity to take part in a great club." Holly
