Learning about our fantastic UK sharks and rays is a great way to get everyone connected with the ocean. You can have wild fun as you learn outdoors at school!
Our mission is safeguarding the future of sharks & rays through positive change. We achieve this through science, EDUCATION, influence and action. We’ve partnered with national award winning outdoor education provider, The Great Out-tours, to produce a range of illuminating curriculum-linked and life enriching educational activities, with sharks and rays as the inspiration.

- Using sharks and rays as the inspiration, we have crammed the Science & Geography modules (from the National Curriculum) of our Outdoor Learning Programme, with fun educational activities, targeted at primary age children in Key Stage 1 & 2 education.
- Using the school grounds as the ocean stage: Our sharks and rays programme bundle provides hours of guided fun learning, alongwith a very healthy portion of mental/physical & social enrichment.
- Tasty treats: A snappy suite of curriculum supporting activities that include: age specific tests, word searches, puzzles & ‘eye-opening’ educational video clips!
- Fintastic Learning! Each activity has curriculum & life enrichment linkage with risk-assessed educational resources.
- Rays the roof! The Great Out-tours & Olive Ridley Project would love you to picture share your crafting creations!
We are delighted to be working in close partnership with Shark Trust. We have produced illuminating shark and ray themed activity bundles, designed to fill your families with wild fun and learning, both outdoors and in! We think you’ll really enjoy yourselves making, doing & foraging, whilst helping the conservation efforts for these amazing creatures?
My personal passion for sharks and rays, drives our focus within the activity bundles, to create positive learning about these fantastic fish. We will give you ideas to get everyone 'out and about' and highlight the crucial role sharks and rays play in marine ecosystems. The Result? You'll want to protect them and safeguard their future’s!
