Inspiring children in the countryside

In production of the content for this exciting & vibrant new online offering, we have drawn from the talent and inspirational outdoor knowledge of our nationwide team.  From the northern tip of Scotland down through the spine of England's green and pleasant lands, to the Southern most shores, our team of activity designers have come up with a blend of practical, entertaining and exciting activities.

These are unique times we are living in and education has been thrown upside down with the Coronavirus. Online learning is growing daily and the opportunity for national award winning outdoor based educator The Great Out-tours, to offer this to our children is VERY EXCITING! Never has it been so important to get our children outside, even if it is just the garden!

These are indeed strange and unsettling times. The boys will be very sad that you won’t be running the club in the coming weeks, but I am sure they will be understanding.

I really love the idea of the online activity programme. This is something we can all do together as a family. Our youngest son (pre-school) will be able to get involved too! Thank you for continuing their vitally important outdoor education and enjoyment.

  • Don’t be. Follow our timed activity plan, with timing alerts.
  • These are tried and tested activities and the timing increments REALLY WORK FOR YOU & WILL KEEP YOUR CHILD(REN) ENGAGED!

  • We offer 'Light Bulb' idea prompts to lift or add value to your your home or garden activity.
  • These will include suggestions for alternative resources or activity adaptions. i.e. How to tweak activity process for an indoor setting.

  • In designing this online programme, we took time to think what would be the most useful ‘tools’ for a parent/carer/guardian to most effectively deliver any given activity subject matter.
  • ‘How to’ short video clips will accompany each activity, giving the 'session leader', invaluable tips & guidance on activity delivery.
  • From our expansive club photo library, we have attached contextual picture galleries for each activity.
  • These provide both you the parent/carer/guardian AND the child(ren) with invaluable tutelage guidelines.
