We have teamed up with The Seahorse Trust to feature seahorses within our 'Outdoor Learning Programme'. A hearty welcome from both our organisations!

Conservation is pointless without education, it stops us repeating our mistakes. Probably the most important part of our work at The Seahorse Trust is education, and we are very excited that through our partnership with The Great Out-tours, we can get a vibrant message across about amazing seahorses, the marine environment & how important their conservation is.

  • Using seahorses as the inspiration, we have crammed the Science & Geography modules (from the National Curriculum) of our Outdoor Learning Programme, with fun educational activities, targeted at primary age children in Key Stage 1 & 2 education.
  • Using the school grounds as the marine stage: Our seahorses outdoor learning programme provides hours of guided fun learning, alongwith a very healthy portion of mental/physical & social enrichment.
  • Shimmer! A treasure trove suite of curriculum supporting activities that include: age specific tests, word searches, puzzles & ‘eye-opening’ educational video clips!
  • Fintastic Learning! Each activity has curriculum & life enrichment linkage with assessed educational resources.
  • Snout to the rooftops! The Great Out-tours & The Seahorse Trust would love you to picture share your crafting creations!
