Mission

The Olive Ridley Project is on a mission to protect sea turtles and their habitats, through rescue and rehabilitation of injured sea turtles, EDUCATION, OUTREACH and scientific research.
We are very happy to collaborate with The Great Out-tours to further our goal of using education as a tool in sea turtle conservation.

What's on the bill!
What's on the bill!
- Using Sea Turtles as the inspiration, we have crammed the Science & Geography modules (from the National Curriculum) of our Outdoor Learning Programme, with fun educational activities, targeted at primary age children in Key Stage 1 & 2 education.
- Using the school grounds as the marine stage: Our sea turtles programme bundle provide hours of guided fun learning, alongwith a very healthy portion of mental/physical & social enrichment.
- Turtley Terrific! A treasure trove suite of curriculum supporting activities that include: age specific tests, word searches, puzzles & ‘eye-opening’ educational video clips!
- Shell we begin! Each activity has curriculum & life enrichment linkage with risk-assessed educational resources.
- Stick your neck out! The Great Out-tours & Olive Ridley Project would love you to picture share your crafting creations!
We are delighted to be working in partnership with the Olive Ridley Project, to underpin their education efforts for Sea Turtle conservation. These mesmeric creatures are a personal passion of mine and as keystone species, it is vital to share their importance with you all.
We have designed this activity programme to create a magical journey into the world of the seven Sea Turtle species. We promise you wild fun outdoors and in, whilst highlighting Sea Turtles crucial part in marine ecosystems.
We think you will be inspired to want to protect them and safeguard their future's!

Testimonials
From Supporters
When I wasn’t busy learning new things about turtle medicine, biology, and ecology – I was soaking up one unbelievable experience after another. I will never forget what it felt like to witness a rehabilitated turtle swimming off and fading into the blue during a release.
It is safe to say that this interning experience has changed me in many ways for the better. For that, I am forever grateful to the Olive Ridley Project. I wish this charity, the amazing people and turtles I’ve met, the best, and I will be honoured to visit again.”
