From the northern tip of Scotland down through the spine of England’s green and pleasant lands, to the Southern most shores, our team of activity designers have been hard at work! To kick off our online activity product, we have come up with this ‘cracking’ Spring themed programme, bursting with curriculum supporting activities. These have been specially selected to draw out the Spring joys of family fun & unity together, embedding mental well being, self esteem AND a sense of achievement from all who partake.

Activity 1 – 'Spring Nests': Build a bird’s nest to protect Chocolate Eggs! Now imagine making that without using your hands – birds only use their beaks and feet to build their intricate nests… Use your hands and you’ll soon marvel at how VERY TALENTED OUR FEATHERED FRIENDS ARE AT WEAVING, TWISTING & BUILDING THEIR NESTS!
Activity 2 – ‘Bursting to Spring’ Memory stick nature scavenge trail: Twenty six letters in the Alphabet….who can find the most ‘Spring’ themed forage item letters in the natural surroundings (or within the house) and attach them to their MEMORY STICK? This is an Spring scavenge hunt with a VERY SPECIAL educational element very subtly woven within, that will build TREASURED MEMORIES FOREVER, TO ALL INVOLVED!!
Activity 3 – 'Cress Heads': An arty & creative Great Out-tours child introduction to the wonders of seed planting, germination and ‘fast return’ home food harvesting. Create little ‘Cress Head’ characters out of egg shells. They could be your favourite ‘Marvel’ superheros, Minions or make up your very own ‘Cress Head’ family: Mummy & Daddy, Brother & Sister, Grannie & Grandad (to fit in a divided half dozen egg box tray).Then care for them with daily water droplets into the egg shell open top and watch! Each day their hair actually grows! Once fully grown, style their hair e.g. A mohican, a side parting etc etc! Great family fun all round! Finally eat the results of your Cress hair dressing!
Activity 4 – 'Grass Caterpillars': A wildly crafty & creative Great Out-tours introduction to ‘Green Fingered Gardening’ & the educational joys of seed planting & germination, using Mum’s old tights! Create your very own ‘Grass Caterpillar’ family: Mummy & Daddy, Brother & Sister, Grannie & Grandad (to sit on a window ledge or somewhere in your garden/balcony or by the front door! Then care of them with daily watering & perhaps some plant food and observe as the grass seed germinates and Mum’s tights turn into a beautiful hairy lady or hansom hairy gentleman GRASS CATERPILLAR! If they get too hairy for your liking, give them a grass hair cut, but not too short! With ongoing care, your caterpillar’s hair will regrow again and again, giving months & years of entertainment!
